How to Market Your Value as a Freelancer (and Get More Clients)

You know you can deliver the goods, but how do you let potential clients know that?

One of the hardest parts about marketing a freelance business is trying to convince prospects that they should take a chance on us. But, really? We shouldn’t have to convince anyone.

Instead, the convincing should happen organically before a client even gets in touch and way before you hop on a phone call to hash out the details.

“Convincing” clients is woven into your marketing strategy - something that a lot of freelancers freeze up at the thought of. The thing is, a marketing strategy doesn’t have to be complicated or juggle loads of data.

Instead, it simply needs to highlight your value.

Every time we have contact with a potential client, whether that’s on social media, via email, or in-person, we’re subconsciously showing them our value. For example, if we spam our social feeds with “buy my services now” posts, we come across as desperate and not particularly valuable.

As a result, if you’re interacting with clients in any way at all (which you should be if you want work), you should imbue those interactions with your high value.
